Coming to the close on another weekend. We are getting so close to Christmas now! Let's keep up the intensity and drive as we power on through the rest of this challenge!
We got SNOW! And, lot's of it! Thank goodness my hubby decided to drive me down in to town to go shopping. We had a nice family day of it and I got most of the things I went for... And, based on how my ankle feels - I got lots of walking in, too! :ohwell: I promised my 3 year old that he could go sledding today so I'll get some exercise in there. I'll probably ride my bike during The Amazing Race tonight, too.
+++POSITIVE THOUGHTS+++!!! :flowerforyou:

Snow? I am jealous! It's still 80+ degrees here in Austin! I am looking forward to the colder months but as long as Christmas is in the 30's or less, I will be happy! :ohwell: Just gotta keep praying for those Canadian cold fronts!!
I just realized today that I am more than halfway to my Christmas goal! Woo Hoo! Only 5 lbs to go before the 24th! I have been kinda addicted to working out lately and I am hoping I can keep the zeal long enough for this to become a habit. My best friend, whom I live, work, and play with, is moving away from this camp and so I am pretty sure I am going to have a lot of free time on my hands in the near future. If I could just fill it with a daily workout that would be great! :bigsmile:
Keep up the good work, fellow MFPers! I love the support this site offers!0 -
OK I know I said I was gonna take today off but the opportunity presented itself so I jumped on my bike & rode for 850 calories....might be guilt from the lunch I had yesterday. Didn't go over on my calories but I might as well have just poured the salt onto my tongue. I swear...0

ANOTHER walk yesterday, about 4 miles. I'm finally healed though. Can't wait to go to the gym today. Going to do the last of the shopping today as well.
My busiest time of year starts this week. I organize a large fundraiser for an animal shelter at this time and it starts on Thursday (lasts until Christmas Eve). It will be challenging for me to get enough exercise and to eat right during this time. Then going on vacation, hmmm. That's where our commitment is challenged though, times like these. No lame (excuses), no gain is my goal for the next few weeks.0 -
Another 90 minutes riding bike around the hills here. Brrrrr its cold today. Was 40 degrees when I left my house. Thats freezing for So Calif!! DIdnt realize how windy it was - almost got blown off my bike a couple of times0

Oh........I ate ribs and cheese cake instead. I logged every movement I made yeasterday to try to get extra calories, but dusting and setting the table doesn't get you much. I believe I went 1,800 over my cals0

Deana,
It's okay, honey. I've done that a few times, and then I feel bad about it. Hopefully you won't beat yourself up. That's the worst part. LOL on the dusting and setting the table. I've been hand washing all my dishes lately. I didn't have a dishwasher from 1985-1992 and washed them then- so this causes more movement, and keeps me busy after eating for that 20 minutes it takes for my brain to get the message that I ate. Instead of searching for more food.
I'm going to start logging exercise. I have too many excuses for NOT exercising. Call me out on it if I don't!!
