CAn anyone help me out on this one?
I went for an hour long bike ride today and MFP told me I'd earned about 550 calories.
A friend of mine, a bit of a fitness freak, said the only time she burnt that much exercising was during a 60 min spin class that almost killed her!
I don't want to eat calories if I haven't really 'earned' them so how accurate are MFP's figures?

not very accurate... they're average amounts.
To know what your exact calorie burn is, you would need to wear a HRM with a chest strap0 -

I use this site to calculate my calories.... but you will need to know your mph to calculate0 -
I need to bust *kitten* for an hour to burn 300, but it depends on the person, weight, fitness level, etc.
I think yours does sound too high though. But you do need to eat SOME to compensate.
Just log half that and eat it?0
