Well, I have lost almost 50 pounds and don't get me wrong I am very very proud of myself. I just feel like my final goal weight is so far away. I guess I shouldn't think about it that way but I want to be at my goal weight so very badly! Plus, some stupid man made a comment that has put me in a bad mood...but anyways...how do you guys stay motivated when the goal seems so far away?

Look at an old picture of yourself this is what motivates me....i am at my halfway mark also but i try not to think about it to much because now it seems since i have lost that weight that things have slowed down but i feel that is a good thing beccause i am also toning up!!! Just keep your head held high and don't worry about what others think of you....you have lost 50 pounds that is an amazing accomplishment and don't be surprised if it takes longer to lose the rest....just keep doing what you are doing

That was the reason I failed at all of my other dieting attempts. The final straw was just knowing that I had to accept if I wanted to do it the healthy way, I had to understand that anymore than a 2lb loss a week on average was the maximum amount in order to be healthy. Just understand its a slow and steady process, and once you finally get to your goal you will have a much much higher success rate than those who took extreme measures and lost the weight quickly and unhealthily. Besides, 50 lbs is AWESOME! I can't wait until I hit that mark!!

Ur not alone. I have lost 53 and it felt great..but then it hit me..it's like starting all over now I have 47 more to go. We have to look at the small picture..make small goals, day by day, week by week. We can do it!!!

I think it is a combination of seeing how far you have come, and you have come far, and keeping your eye on where you are going. You are almost half way there, don't stop now.

I learned not to focus on the goal weight but to focus on the day to day goals =)

Looks like we have the same goal. I find the support of my friends to be very helpful. I know the goal seems so far away but everyday I look at myself I see some small change. Once less dimple, a lil less jiggle in my arms, the ability to keep my wind a little longer. These are the things that really keep me going.
