When measuring ounces, is it pre-cooked weight or cooked weight?
My 8 oz. steak (raw) is only 5-6 oz. cooked. My 3 oz. uncooked speghetti weighs difference once cooked. What is the correct method of weighing food?

I weight what I'm eating so it's cook food for me, with meat your cookin out the water with stuff like pasta and rice your adding. I think?0

I agree, unless it states otherwise, it's cooked weight.0

The advertising community for fast food restaurants will sell you burgers and steaks at 'pre-cooked' weights, so I wasn't sure. But it makes sense to me to weigh it after cooking.
