I've been working out lately and feeling like walking doens't do as much as running, is this true?

It doesn't do "as much" in the same amount of time. If you aren't a runner, or your recovering from an injury, walking at a good clip with inclines tends to keep your heart rate up and get you sweating. Just remeber your form and to not stomp when doing either!

I noticed you said you used to swim in your profile - why not start swimming again (join Master's) if you want to up your workout? I swam competively in high school and now swim with Master's and burn about 600 calories an hour during swim practice.
