It doesn't do "as much" in the same amount of time. If you aren't a runner, or your recovering from an injury, walking at a good clip with inclines tends to keep your heart rate up and get you sweating. Just remeber your form and to not stomp when doing either!0

I noticed you said you used to swim in your profile - why not start swimming again (join Master's) if you want to up your workout? I swam competively in high school and now swim with Master's and burn about 600 calories an hour during swim practice.0
