I recently lost nearly 20 pounds. I dropped about two pant sizes and a blouse size.

I have lost 25lbs, I don't see any change but people keep commenting that I look much smaller, and I intentionally kept my weight loss efforts from those people so I wouldn't get the usual highly irritating "look how much you have lost" comments from people who know your trying to lose weight (I know their trying to help but I don't like it, much better coming from people who don't know your trying). So I guess there must be a visible change!

i've lost about 27 so far, i have pics up on my page of losing up to 17, i think... I don't feel like i can see a difference, but people have started commenting lately that they can tell, and my pants feel bigger... but i don't see it or feel it yet.

I have so far lost 22 pounds. I'm 5'7" and my start weight was within 5 pounds of yours. I have went down a size in tops and about a size or two in pants. Diet changes only, no exercise yet.

Honestly, it depends on how much weight you have total to lose. I lost 20 lbs, and I see almost no difference at all, but that's because I've gone from 375 to 355, not that much of a difference right? But if you're going from say, 190 down to 170, you'll see MUCH more of a difference.
Good luck on your journey. =)

In 4 weeks I lost 20 lbs and over 30 inches over all my body. Definitely makes a difference. Not done with my 12 week program, so have not taken pics, want to wait another 8 weeks.

I am too lazy to grab a camera but I can tell you that after 20 pounds:

    Moved over 3 belt loops
Pants are loose, no unbutton required to remove.
Old tight close are not that tight anymore
You can see more when you look down (it's true)
You'll double take when going by a mirror
Others will double take (but probably won't make mention because they are not quite sure) when they see you
Walking and running will be easier, I was running at 4.5 mph (very slow) and could not make a mile, now I can do 2 miles at 5.3 mph
You'll be thinking though your best options for buying new clothes (buy now or wait a little longer)
That top shirt button that came undone once in a while, will stay buttoned (I actually thought I had an oversized button whole on that shirt but it was really just my gut causing it to release)

I've lost 22 lbs but I can't see any difference, but I have a LOT to lose. I've gone from 258 to 236. My husband says he's noticed by my kids don't...I think the hubby is being generous. I think my big problem is I carry almost all my weight on the bottom...huge hips and legs...all the way down to my cankles! The weight I've lost seems to be on my top half...grrrr. The only change I've really noticed is the gap in the waist when I wear jeans is even bigger. I have to get a large size to fit over my 50" hips but my waist is only 36" SO FRUSTRATING! I wonder if it would help if I stood on my head....

I have lost 20 pounds in 74 days so far. I have some pictures on my profile that show before and after with losing 30 pounds (I lost 10 before I started MFP) I was a tight 13/14 in jeans and now I can fit in most size 7's!!!!! I have lost over 5 inches just from my waist and 15 inches overall!!!

I've lost a little more than twenty now, but this is about twenty down. Apologies for the gratuitous rear shots...I tend to hide from cameras so didn't have many pics for reference. I think the chubby 'before' was thanks to my three year old running around taking randoms.

I too am aiming to lose about 27lbs and it would be great to see other MFP users success pictures. There is alot of strength training involved in my fitness plan so I have a feeling it's the measurements I'm going to have to track more rather than weight so really I don't even know if it will be 27lbs I lose so would be great to see the difference something like this would make.

    I have!

I've gone down a size, and people keep commenting. Sometimes they're not exactly sure what's different... I got a drastically different haircut about when I started to lose weight, so people who haven't seen me since then just think it's the hair. ;)

I'm not ready to post pics yet, but I will soon!
