Breadmaker Setting Help

I bought a multigrain bread mix at a bulk food store, put the 2 1/2 cups mix, 3/4 cup water & 1 1/2 teaspoon yeast into my breadmaker, now the question ~ which setting do I use? White or Whole Wheat?? I'm not a baker and really do not know the difference in baking these 2 settings?:blushing:
And which finish? Light, medium or dark?
Any smart bakers that can help me? I do not plan on turning it on for a few hours, any help would be appreciated!!:flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:

Well in case anyone was following my bread maker saga lol I used the white bread setting and it turned out bad ~ chewy......oh well. onward with life and bread :ohwell:0

Next time, skip the bread mix and just follow a recipe with your own flour, water, salt, sugar and yeast! I like using the french bread setting (extra kneading makes the bread a bit airier and crustier) and medium finish.0
