Today (7th May) was the annual memorial day for members of the Irish Police Force that have died in the line of duty.

So in honour of all Police Officers around the world:

The words to the poem that are overlayed on the video are:

I have been where you fear to go,
I have seen what you fear to see,
I have done what you fear to do,
All of these things I have done for you.

I am the one you lean upon,
The one you cast your scorn upon,
The one you bring your troubles to,
All of these things I have been for you,

The one you ask to stand apart,
The one you feel should have no heart,
The one you call "the man in blue",
But I am human just like you,

And through the years,
I have come to see,
That I am not what you ask of me,

And when you watch a person die,
or hear a battered baby cry,
Then do you think that you can be,
All these things you ask of me,
Can you be the man in blue?

Here's to all the Gardai who kept us safe, and continue to do so. My uncle was a Garda for 30 years. Couldn't be prouder of him.
