hey guys I was just wondering what the effects are of eating a lot at a time. Do you just feel bloated and yucky? And if I eat before bed like I enjoy having a bowl of special k and an apple before bed, does that bloatiness go away when you wake up the next day or do you feel it and gain weight or fat the next day? thanks

depends on your definition of a lot. I put in about 1000 in a meal and I don't wanna move haha! Just... like... stuffed and bloated.
but yea, the next morning i'm back to normal

Alright yeah and I feel the same. Eating cereal at night makes me feel scared I'll feel it in the morning or it will stay with me..

If I eat after 7 at night I feel bloated,,and if I over eat I feel it badly,,but it usually is there some the next morning but not as bad as when I eat and go to bed...my problem is snacking when i'm really not very hungry and just have the munchies and I do get bloated and fell bad afterwards,,weekends are my enemies because hubby and kids are home eating all day....As long as it is healthy snacks I don't think it will make you gain if you exercise daily and watch your overall calories...Good Luck to you...

The effects vary from person-to-person, and in what you consider eating "a lot" at a time. I have a problem with eating a whole lot at a time. Depending on what I eat, I get bloated and lethargic. If there's sugar involved, I get edgy and hyper.

The time of day that you eat doesn't actually matter as far as weight loss goes, as long as you're at or under your calorie goal each day. A bowl of cereal and an apple isn't really "a lot" of food... it's just a nice meal or snack. It will still digest as you sleep, so don't worry about that.
Fat gain doesn't happen overnight, the body is constantly using and storing energy. Cereal isn't going to just bypass the entire digestive process and become fat in a few hours. It's the cumulative over-consumption of calories that makes the body store excess as fat.

I was just told by a trainer to eat 100 calorie protien snack at night. Fills you up and stays with you longer than carbs. She suggested .5c. cottage cheese when wanting something salty or .75c. greek plain yogurt sweetend with artificial sweetner and some berries.

That really made me understand thanks! And if you look at my calorie intake daily, I am always well under
