hi everyone, I seem to pass wind every time i eat any healthy food, and while i dont mind it at all when i am at home, im worried that it will make a bad impression at work and ive started to get energy for work (waitress) from junk food just because i know i wont pass wind with it but i really want to eat healthy food all the time.

food that makes me pass wind:

all raw and cooked vegetables
all fruit
oats
all meat
all seeds
every protein shake, meal replacement drink or energy drink

fish and crisps and bad sugars are the only things that dont make me pass wind, fish is good for protein but i need healthy carbohydrates for energy which wont make me pass wind.
help?

Wind is completely natural. You might be finding your passing wind more often right now but it will calm down as your body gets used to the new foods you are eating.

Carbs: try eating flatbreads or crispbreads, or potatos. I expect your body is just confused about what it's getting fed but once it is used to it, it will adapt. Anyway, better to be windy and skinny than fat.

try Beano...you just put a few drops on any food that causes trouble (like beans or brocoli) and it helps your body digest it. But I agree with the other posts...your body will adjust to the added fiber in time. Also try rice or bananas for carbs...they are easily digested.

It may be that you are eating too quickly. One issue for alot of overweight people (myself included) is that we eat way too fast, which is why many of use are overweight!

Thing is when you are eating foods that haven't been as processed, it's harder for our body to break down these foods.
So what you need to do is eat slower/chew more so that the enzymes in your saliva help to break down the foods before they enter your stomach,

This hopefully will help and reduce the wind. I really noticed this with beans-they used to cause a load of problems, but now i chew them more and i don't react so much!

Beano or something like that to slow down the gas. Deactivated charcoal is also effective. Keep eating the healthy foods!
