    I know this is a old thread, but I found it to be most helpful. Sometimes we get too hung up on the numbers on the scale and what we see in the mirror that we fail to focus on all the other benefits that exercise provide. It could be as simple as running up and down the stairs without getting winded. It's important to remember that changes also happen from the inside out.
    My motivation when I first started was simply to fit into an old pair of jeans that I haven't been able to wear for over a year.
    However, once I reached my goal, my perspective took a drastic turn. My goals are no longer centered on the aesthetic benefits of weight loss, but rather on well-being and physical health.
