My name is Jennifer and I joined about a week ago. I've been trying for years to lose weight, but since getting out of the military in 2006, I've seem to gone the wrong way
I have also tried keeping logs and journals and whatnot, but I lose interest or it becomes tedious after awhile that I gave up. Feel free to add me to your friend list. Perhaps we can learn from and motivate each other.

Welcome to the site. You are right, it can become tedious logging the food and exercise, but the efforts can really payoff. It has really worked great for me. If you are still looking for more friends, feel free to add me.
