Do any runners on here use them? How are they and would you suggest them? What are the pros/cons of them compared to normal running shoes? Thanks in advance!!

I have been running in only vibrams since February.

The pros are that they will allow you to strengthen your feet and ankles and promote a very good running stride. For me, they also eliminated any knee pain in running. With strong feet and lower legs and good running form the impact from running is absorbed in the arch of the foot and the calf and not in the leg bones and knee joint.

The con is that if you have been wearing shoes your entire life your feet and lower legs are likely weak and will be sore for a while while they adjust. You have to start out slowly using them or injury will likely result.

It takes a while for the feet to adapt to running on hard surfaces, concrete and asphalt, without an inch of foam under them. However, once they do adapt these sufaces are not uncomfortable to run on without any cushioning.

Good info is in this forum - http://www.runnersworld.com/community/forums/index.jsp?plckForumPage=Forum&plckForumId=Cat:Runner+CommunitiesForum:887b8e6c-ecb8-4ae7-a3ef-0f12bf559034
