Body fat %

Does anyone know where I would go to get this measured? I want a more accurate answer than I get from online formulas, but have no idea where to start looking for where to get it done. I am in the UK, and am pretty sure I can't get it done at the GP. Last time I had it done was 12 years ago, at the gym, but I have moved cities since then, and no gym membership!

Many gyms will measure using bioimpedence or use calipers to measure skin fold thickness

But for people who don't have gym membership?

Most boots stores seem to have a scale that measures BF% and weight (usually around the medicine/prescriptions area)
It's always seemed accurate to me and I've used it several times before :)

I get mine done at the gym a few times a year - that's based on height, weight, measurements, and fat calipers. A few years ago I went to a medical testing center ang got a full body scan - it only cost about $45.

You can buy calipers or hand held impedance fat measuring devices. I've seen them on amazon-- calibers under USD10 and impedance devices starting USD27. I suspect you can also order them in the UK amazon website. I've been debating whether I want to get the impedance device. It has some pretty good reviews online. Here's a link to one so you can see what it looks like.

I would not recommend the bathroom scales that also measure body fat. It seems like they have a much larger margin of error (some up to 10% wrong!).

You can get calipers (which are easier to do with a second person) or get something that does it off electrical impedance. Either in a scale or a hand held unit. Either way it is fairly inexpensive.

U can actually get it at a sports clinic which will do a full body composition as well as determine your VO2 and LT.
U can search for one close by where you live.
