I wish I had a HRM, but I don't. What's the best way to log it? Aerobics? Thank you.

I log it as 'jogging' for XXX minutes and 'walking mod, pace' for XXX minutes... I know I burn more than that because of recovery and intervals, but its all I could figure out.0
-
Okay, that's what I was thinking...just didn't want to sit and count all the minutes out LOL.0
-
I log the number of minutes walking and the number of minutes running (2 separate enteries). Feel free to check out my exercise diary as an example.0

TS65, thank you! You can do the math for me :flowerforyou:0

I use C25K and the Nike running app at the same time. The Nike one calculates my calories burned for mo, so i just add that in when I log it.0

Okay, so I figured out week 1. It's 14 minutes of walking and 6 minutes of jogging (or running, I'll be jogging) for a total of 20 minutes. Figured I'd post it in case it might help someone else.0
-
I thought week one is 8 minutes jogging and 12 walking, plus a 5 minute warm up walk.0
-
Maybe I figured it out wrong? I figured the 5 minute warm up into the 20 minutes, should it be separate?0
-
Brisk five-minute warmup walk. Then alternate 60 seconds of jogging and 90 seconds of walking for a total of 20 minutes.
Did I figure it wrong? Now I'm all confused! LOL0 -
I could be wrong too! I was thinking the 5 minute warm up isn't part of the 20 minute intervals. I'm new at this though.0
-
Well, now we're both confused! Haha...I'll do some googling and see if I can figure it out. Any experts out there who want to chime in here?0
-
Karen, I think you're right! Thank you :flowerforyou:0

What is C25K?0

I am starting tomorrow, so I've been looking into it the last couple of days. I'm no expert! I was just trying to figure out how to log it too!0

What is C25K?
It stands for Couch to 5K... it's a program to get people who don't run to be able to run a 5k in 9 weeks. You start out a little at a time, and over the 9 weeks, you increase your running. I'm just doing it because I need the structure and I want to improve my endurance.0 -

Thank you:)0

I do it on a treadmill that counts calories, so I just type the number of calories and the number of minutes I did it under walking 3.0 mph.0
