Well its gotten to the point were I just feel like giving up for good, I just cant seem to get back on like in the begining, I've lost all my motivation and dont feel worth it, I feel as though I'm getting depressed,
I'm going to see my Dr. on the 29th and I know she'll ring my neck, she told me to workout 45 to 60 min a day and the first week I did so great and now I cant get myself to do 30.

I have also been eating as if theres no tomorrow, just one binge after another.

I dont know what to do I think I've given up on myself just like every one else in my life....:brokenheart:

I'm sorry you are feeling this way...sending you e-flowers :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:

I've been there too - when everything just seems to be too hard or too much for me to handle.

One thing that helps is writing - specifically I wrote down a list of things I want, and how I would achieve it. Then I just take it one day at a time - if I think about how long it will take me to get to my goal - I'll be overwhelmed. But if I say, ok for TODAY I will exercise 30 minutes, and TODAY I will log my calories - that helps. Just one step at a time.

***Hugs*** This too will pass, and you CAN do it.
  • Hey, no worries!!! You've said in your profile "I want to be at a healthy weight before I die, I'm 24 now so I have 76 years to reach my goals:-) "!

Even if you haven't reached your goals by the time you go to the doctors, you still have 76 years to get there. Maybe you should re-set your goals to something that you can stick to a little better? No need to run yourself into the ground in every workout. All you need is moderate exercise 3-5 times a week and you're good!

I can definitely relate that its hard - I lost a couple of pounds a week for 3 weeks, and now it seems like i cant lose anymore. BUT thats ok, because I'm working out and watching what I eat, so even if the scale isn't moving as much as I'd like, I'm still living a healthy lifestyle. Keep that in mind, I'm sure you are doing better than you think!

Every long journey starts with a few short steps!

Love this advice....and the others too.
    Little steps....
I've been on this site since MAY! Hello, I haven't lost much (but mostly cause of my own reasons, not the site at all) .

It's all about taking what you can handle, when you can handle it. I have been working out for years....but getting me to dedicate an hour to it a day...that's asking a lot. Start small and work up.

Log even those binge days....it will give you lots of perspective.

O hon, don't dispair!! Have a good cry and get your bad feelings all out!!

    Then, chew on this quote:

Forget past mistakes. Forget failures. Forget everything except what you're going to do now and do it.

As for the binging and inability to workout.....they go hand in hand. When you eat hard to digest food (like all those tasety items on Dairy Queen's menu!! yum!!) your body gets overloaded and won't work properly.

Also, it sounds as though there are a lot of emotions behind your binges and that maybe through a girls night out, or if you can a therapy session or two, may be of help. I know that when I'm really down, the last thing I want to do is workout. When I get my butt up and do it, though, I end up feeling a ton better. (endorphines, baby! Think about Elle in Legally Blond: "Working out releases endorphines. Endorphines make you happy. Happy people just don't kill their husbands!")

So have a good cry, write in a journal, then get out for some sunshine and some walking! You'll feel better, I can almost guarntee it. :flowerforyou:

O! One last thing! Walking around the neighborhood equals as a workout!!

Oh Mary - don't give up!!!!!

YOU ARE WORTH IT!!!!!! I know exactly what you mean - EVERY morning when I wake up it is a struggle to make the right choice. Can you start logging, right now, and get back on the wagon? Don't waste another day - log what you've eaten so far, and run to the grocery store and grab some raw veggies to much for the rest of the day if you are over on your calories! I've had to do that many days when I've had a rough start to the day!

Keep your eyes on the goal - you look and feel SO great!!!
    I'm sending you good vibes...

    You are worth it!

Maybe ask your doctor for some other suggestions/hints as you progress? I asked mine for some recently, and we came to the conclusion that it would be a good idea for me to talk to a professional about my eating behavoirs so that I can learn what my triggers are before going on a binge and divert to something else.

Then you are on track sweetie!! :flowerforyou: And preggers! I've had that moment too....you go "do I need to keep up the calories just in case?" But you'll be fine! so long as you aren't depriving yourself and starving yourself, you don't have a thing to worry about!!

Kiddo, if you are pregnant that changes the whole game.
As soon as you can find out, do it! You don't want to risk the health of a baby or yourself!
It will also take a load of your mind either way.

You know you are worth it - look at you!!!

Could you write down some short term goals and some long term goals? E.g. "I lose 2 lbs this week... I will lose 8 lbs by Sept 30th... next summer I will be 170 lbs..." I have found goals to be sooo helpful - and time always marches on, so for me setting those dated goals really helps. I set a goal for this summer back in March when I started on here, and I even bought myself a bikini thinking in the back of mind, "Will I really lose the weight" and sure enough I came pretty close to my goal!!! You can do it. It really is a matter of just putting one foot infront of the other.

Dont give up that is the easy way. I fight myself everyday to get up and start moving but once I start it feels so good. Even if you go and walk around the block you will be suprised at how quick 30 mins. go. You can do this you have lots of Love with MFP. We all know what you are going through it is tough but the best advice has been given. Baby steps. :flowerforyou:
