Heavy legs-water in legs after exercise?

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone of you ever had really heavy lower legs after exercise which feels beyond muscle pain but more like water in your legs?
I have been going running for the past few days and also doing Aerobics or other exercises and probably did too much, and now my legs feel swolen and hurt like if there was water in there?
do you have any advice on what to do make the swelling go away?

    This sounds like water retention, when you press the swollen bit does it leave a dint?

    Sounds Like Adema, Don't worry you should easily be able to sort it out, I suffer from it really bad sometimes so I know how painful it can be, try to cut back on salty foods, drink plenty of water, eat and drink things like celery, green tea, anything that flushes water out of your system, Luckily losing weight is a big help, when i first started exercising the pain was unbearable, Now i barely get it even when its really hot :) hope this helps xx
