Is it really better to dress in layers so you sweat more? I hear conflicting opinions on this.

Honestly you should be putting that water back in when you drink your water. If you drink enough water throughout the day to keep your body hydrated you will not have water weight gain. When you don't feed your body water your body retains it because it knows you are not getting any. Keep drinking and you don't need to sweat it out... you will pee like normal and flush it out that way.0

All you would be doing is sweating more. I say dress comfortably and rock your workout!0

No--be cool and comfortable. Wear a moisture "wicking" fabric, not 100% cotton close to your body. It will dry quickly and keep you cooler and drier. All you are losing with more layers of clothing is water. You also risk overheating and feeling awful!0

If you're working out in the cold then dress appropriately, otherwise you'd just be dehydrating faster (Also losing some minerals). So to echo another poster, dress comfortably!0
