Well, I'm trying to lose weight for a wedding in two weeks. I need to lose about 10 pounds, but I want to make sure I do it the right way.. so I'm okay if I don't lose the entire 10. They say if you don't eat enough, your body goes into starvation mode......I think that's my problem now. I always thought that the less I eat, the more I lose.... which I have learned that it's untrue. So my question is... Will I lose weight faster if i DO eat the calories that I earn through workouts each day.. or if I DON't eat those calories...??? Some insight would be helpful!! Thanks everyone!

DO!!
There are a ton of links at the top about why, but basically you need to aim for a minimum of 1200 NET calories.
For example if you eat 1200 calories then you workout and burn 600 you need to try and eat back those 600 to get that net of 1200.
Another thing, if you don't have a heart rate monitor or something accurate to measure calories burned, I wouldn't eat them all back. Sites that estimate the calorie burn can be WAY off. I usually (if I don't use my heart rate monitor) try and eat back half those "burned" calories.0 -
Thank you!!! Very helpful!0

Nams is correct - but wanted to give you a few threads that discuss how MFP works and explain why you need to eat the extra cals.

to crash diet, i wouldnt eat them back, or id only eat some of them, but if you want to do it the maintainable proper way, then eat them back
I wouldnt recommend not eating them back as a long term plan, but if you wanted to lose quickly for a special occasion, then its pretty much up to you0
