Does anyone know exactly how many calories are in 1 serving (1steak) of bistec encebollado? My mother in law is in town and insisting i have a little bit and I don't want to be insulting. I'll eat it with a salad. But I need to know how many calories and every website has something different. One says 591 the other says 167, the other says 87. Sooooo now I'm confused lol

HELP!!!

by tradition, they add oil, usually vegetable oil, seasoning (very little calories, lots of sodium), onions about 2oz and the red meat, its just good old steak meat, estimate the size based on weight 2, 3, 4 oz. My guess would be about 450-520 cals, with 20-25 fat, 1300 sodium.

Tell me about it...! Puerto Rican/Dominican dishes are just soooo hard to count because we dont all cook the same....Im curious to know as well...what i usually do is use the recipe option to try to get an average count....

It is all going to depend on the meat she uses and how it is prepared. If I was u I would just create my own recipe here. Figure out how many servings come out of what she makes and the ingredients she used. That way you know for sure how many calories it is everyone prepares it different
