Hey everyone..hope your Monday has started off on a good note!
Just a quick question. I find people on the forums talking about C2K. What is it/where do I find good, accurate information about it? I have googled it and haven't been all that impressed with the info I found.
Thanks,
Susan

I posted about this very topic last week because a friend of mine and I are starting it next week. Here is the link, I hope it helps.

I think C2-5K is what you are talking about maybe? It is a running program meant to take you from immobile to able to run a 5 K in a couple months. I am currently doing it, and while I was in generally good shape for my weight, it is a good way to get moving and get accostommed to running longer distances.0

I was wondering the same thing a few days ago. I googled it and found it is a way to organize for lack of a better word) your running to take you from the couch 2 a 5K in 9 weeks. I got the app on my phone. it goes from day 1 week one to day 3 week 9 with a workout 3 times a week. it times it for you so you can just run/walk when it tells you to. I am altered it a bit due to several old injuries to my right leg. running or jogging are too high impact so I am doing the program on the elliptical. i just watch my speed and use the timer from the program. according to the ellipitical i am burning about 200 cal per workout on week 1. I have no plans to run a 5K. I just needed a way to know where to start exercising and it sounded interesting. I actually just finished todays workout a few minutes ago. hope this helps.0

Started week 4 myself this morning, first time i've ran 5 min or more since high school,
Heres some resources
c25k.cze.dk -- C25k.com forums
C25k.com -- bunch of links to c25k resources and basic info

Absolutely love doing this despite how heavy i am, When i started i couldn't hardly run 45 seconds without wanting to die, now im up to 5 min (and want to die at about 4:30 ). Some of the later weeks look really scary but i've been able to complete all of them so far and thought i never could so dont be intimidated by w5 and up.
Good luck.0
