Thinking about running, but I have a question

I usually run in the morning, early and eat a small energy bar before I go, but now that I am back to work I only have a couple chances a week to get out.
I was thinking about running tonight, before it gets late, but I just ate dinner, and while I am not totally stuffed, it was a good size meal and was wondering how long if I have to wait before running? Is it like swimming? Or can I just go?
I am sure it sounds like a silly question.

I usually wait an hour, but I'm far from being an expert.

I was thinking I had to wait, but then it will be dark. I guess I can run on the treadmill.
    Thanks

    SM,

I can't run on a full tummy either so I feel your pain. Can you set your alarm for extra early?? :flowerforyou:

I get up at the time I would get up to run but now for work. I can't get up any earlier, too dark and no street lights. Too many dogs to not be able to see. I will only get 3 chances to run a week now and I liked it at 4, 5 or once in a while 6 times.
Bummer!!! Oh well. I wont eat so much next time and maybe get in a later run.
    Thanks,

can you run before dinner? maybe eat a light snack before you leave work and then eat dinner after your run?
