So, it's that time of year again. the "oh my gosh it's gonna be bathing suit/short skirt/hooker heels season and i am SO not ready" time. not, you know, that i subscribe to any of that (except that I totally DO)
My name is Rachel and I hail from Lincoln Park, Chicago. Totally the wrong place to live if you're not super comfortable with yourself. It's open season on Trixies ALL THE TIME. Actually, I'm good with myself when it comes to that kind of thing. But that doesn't mean that I don't have some serious room for improvement.
I got started with this again thanks to good old fashioned pneumonia. Yup, ended up being sick for about 4 weeks and lost 15 pounds. I figured that with a kickstart like that, I might as well keep going, right? It would seem silly to lose that kind of momentum. So, I'm running. I have a 5k in a week, and the plan is to hit the gym for alternating cardio/weight training 3 times a week going forward. I'd really like to get to 140 (21lbs to go) by the end of July (which I know is really ambitious for me) but i'd settle for down to 150 if i can manage to tone up a bit. We shall see!
anyway - best of luck to all of you out there! we can do it!
