Drinking calories

I know this is a no-no but what if I were to blend soy milk and fresh fruit together to make a fruit smoothie type thing...is that still a bad thing?

    Use non fat milk and add ice! Besides its better than soda right!
  • I have a homemade protein smoothie every morning for breakfast and it works well for me. I say if you add some protein powder to yours, you should be good.

    why is it a no-no or a bad thing? If you have calories for it and you want it, why not?

    No way! Drinking calories isn't always bad. A big, tall soda..probably bad. But something good for you (as you described your smoothie type thing) isn't bad at all. Just add it into your diary(:

    I agree! I drink calories all of the time. Sometimes I want a mocha coffee or a nice smoothie. As long as you can afford it calorie wise it is no different than eating something!!

    Well it's super hot today and I don't really feel like eating anything..just want something cold to drink besides water...should have clarified lol

    Sounds yummy, and I agree with everyone above. Fruit is good, full of vitamins and a good breakfast I think. x

    And it will fill you up too, so its definitely a better alternative than a lot of snacks!

    I think that's a good way to get in fruit! If you don't add a lot of sugar.. It's even better :)
