Weighing yourself vs. Measuring yourself

Which is better: weighing yourself every week or measuring yourself every week? or both? Which will I see more results on? I only have to lose 10 pounds, so keep that in mind. I've heard a lot of people say that they like measuring themselves better than weighing themselves, but i'm not sure which one I should do. Got any information??

thanks :)

Both. You can lose inches without losing pounds. I do both every monday so I can see it in both places.

I do neither. My clothes and my body tell the story.

I regret not measuring myself in the beginning. For the past three weeks, the scale has been the same..But I can see such a difference in my waist and thighs.

I think you could absolutely do both. I am doing the INSANITY workout and I burn a lot of calories in a short amount of time. I'm in week 4 and my scale has not really moved. I definitely should have started measuring from day 1 because I know there has been a change. I don't really see it myself cause I see myself every day but my parents said that I am looking "skinny" after not seeing them for only a week! Even though my scale is the same #, apparently I am looking different! That would be why I am starting to measure today!

i like seeing the inches lost better than seeing the weight loss - cause you can weigh the same 150 lbs and be leaner with more muscle mass and slimmer than 150 lbs of just fat (just an example)
but personally, i think it takes longer time to see results with inches.. i usually weight once a week (sometimes more) and do measurements every first of the month.. that way i can see my results!!!

I do both since I do strength training. I think it's good practice to do both.
