GYM Vs the Food Network

So I did not have time to run tonight, so I went to the gym.

I noticed that lately when I go the Food Network is always on. Tonight it was some cake off with Red Velvet cake. Isn't that like sitting in an AA meeting and watching how they brew moonshine?

I do not get it, anyone else notice anything weird on television when they go to the gym.

I love to watch Man Vs Food when I am working out. I just think to myself how much would I have to burn off to be able to eat 5lbs of meat.

I wonder why I am always hungry while watching the Food Network? Cupcake Wars are the WORST :explode: but then again, I am always in the mood for a catfight with butter creme!

Since I exercise at home, it's my own fault! But I do find it strange that this would be the channel of choice at the gym!

One of the TVs at my gym is always playing the food network. The other one is almost always on HGTV.

I've always thought the same thing!! And it seems like every commercial is of some food that is to die for and I crave for the rest of the night. lol. I've always thought that they should have a special "gym channel" that plays inspiring things to push you to work harder..like nike commercial style clips. lol

Food Network or Top Chef on Bravo is always on, I love to cook so I enjoy watching them even if it is something I won't go home and make later.

this made me kind of think of a shopping center here that always made me laugh. It had a weight watchers, that was sandwich between this burger joint well known for very greasy very amazingly good but very greasy burgers, and on the otherside a cold stone creamery.

It's like a reminder that the temptation to eat crappy food is always there.

And honestly, Red Velvet cake?!?! I would have eaten the TV.

Personally I avoid watching Food Network, it prompts me into thinking about making some poor choices.

Lately at the gym the TV has been on an infommercial station, really irritating to see all these "easy" things for weight loss and exercise while sweating your *kitten* off on the treadmill. Bunch of us complained and they switched the station. But now between 9 am and 10 am the Christian Broadcast Network news is on. Its a a very culturally diverse gym, this is notgoing over well.

I actually try to not watch Tv while exercising, want to focus on movement and muscle to get the most out of the torture, lol.

They probably put the WW there on purpose, so they would need their services longer.

Luckily I am allergic to cake, so it did not bother me. But I find it odd. Of course, if they do a whole show on chocolate I am done for the night.
