Calculating Calories for HIIT Exercises?

I have been doing a lot of HIIT training and know and have been told that HIIT although that it is shorter training period, that your body will burn calories for much longer after the working out than what a normal workout would do.
However, what I am trying to figure out is how to calculate more accurately how many calories I have burned for my HIIT training. For normal working out I would just stop my HRM when I am done with my workout. It is what I am doing now with my HIIT training, but if it is true that your body continues to burn calories at a higher rate for a longer time after doing HIIT training, I am wondering how much and how long the extra burn lasts.
How are those of you who are doing HIITs calculating your calorie burns??
Thank you

I use one as well, but I am trying to figure how to to calculate the "after burn effect" should I not stop my HRM immediately after the workout? How long does HIIT training keep the body burning more calories for??0
