encouragement for your journey

someone asked me on here what the secret is... how am I still losing weight? The answer is easy, but doing it isn't always easy. Control and simple science. The science is easy, as a general rule, we eat way too many carbs and garbage foods and the extra gets stored as fat. Control is the hard part. Sugar and carbs are very addictive. Breaking that addiction has to be a goal. Clean and lean, that's my daily mantra where food choices are concerned. Cheat days and meals are totally allowed, if you feel deprived it won't work. When I want a food I know is a bad choice I have learned to think about it first. I allow myself to have those things once in a while, but not every day. Other than that, one day at a time and keep pressing forward. No one's perfect, so don't beat yourself up when you have a bad day or week. A journey is not a short trip, and you WILL hit bumps and road blocks and your journey won't be the same as anyone elses. Figure out what works for you and learn from your mistakes. Plan your work, then work your plan. There... I think I have covered all the cliches
