How has your lifestyle affect your family/friends?

I am curious to find how many other people's new way of life has affected their family/friends...
My husband has been able to cut out all soda and now drinks only water. (which is huge, considering he would drink 8 cans of Mountain Dew in day) My kids are doing the exercises with me. My family has cut out all red meat from their diet. My husband has cut down his processed food intake in half. My family now eats all fresh fruit and vegetables and whole grain breads.
Now your turn...

My case is the other way around... My sister got me on here - her weight loss has effected my life.... My kids ae healthy as is my other half... I am the one with the problem, they dont mind that I cook healthier but most of my changes are in activity, potions and when I eat. They dont like salad so they dont care that I eat one at every meal...0

At first my husband hated it because he felt like I would make him feel bad about what he ate. now he has lost 15 pounds because he also has cut out soda and is just all around eating better foods and smaller portions! He loves it! Although he has not started doing anything at the gym he has shown intrest and that alone is huge for him!0

There is a certain someone in my home who IS NOT happy with this new life style of mine! He is forever trying to sabatoge it! If I have a headache or whatever he say s OH MAYBE YOU SHOULDNT WORK OUT FOR A WHILE ! . He rolls his eyes at even the smallest of conversation of my losing weight and going to the gym .....Well he hates it ! SO his latest thing is to let me kow just how HOTT all the other women around me are when we go somewhere ! He's an *kitten*! and doesnt realize it but He is only hurting himself becasue my life will go on with or without him !!! This is a life change for me NOT anyone else . OH and compliments HA, he doesnt even know how to give one anymore or should I say to me anyway ! I think someone is feeling a little threatened. .........and with his attitude HE SHOULD!0

Well, my eating habits are changing by leaps and bounds. My children are eating more veggies and fruits and drinking more water. My kids are working out with me on a regular basis and 'playing' more with me outside and just becoming more physical in general. And since I'm incorporating a meatless dish here and there, they are getting used to that , too.
The Hubs however, is not outright sabotaging my new lifestyle but he definitely isn't along for the ride. He is encouraging with words but not actions. He says "great job honey! you look awesome" and the next day brought home a HUGE chocolate cake! Or "i thought I'd cook tonight..." and then the fast food bags show up like a pile of gold on a platter. When I asked if he had brought me home a salad or a turkey burger he was like .... "I didn't know you'd want that." Really? I'm grateful for the thought but couldn't you have even considered a diet pop!!!!!?????
I think I make him feel guilty. I have changed the rules. He lost his eating pig out partner. He can still eat like a college boy and I can gain a pound looking at a piece of pizza. I feel for him, but hey, this is about my health not his ego.0 -
My husband has totally joined me on the lifestyle change. He's here on MFP logging. We work out together. We help keep each other on track and motivated. It's awesome!0

My friends aren't really affected by it-a few have started watching what they eat and ask for advice etc but they are doing it for their own reasons. Usually they still all want to go out to eat/drink ect...I enjoy it at times but try to stay within maintenance when I go out with them.
My husband still eats the crap he always ate, with some modifications-he prefers ground turkey to beef tacos for example and I get him to try some veggies and he eats more veggies now than he ever did. But he insists on beer/coke in the house -I avoid it, after dinner before bed he can eat 1/2 a contianer of icecream. He has zero interest in the gym or exercise--I don't know if he ever will...He also orders out lunch on saturdays, but I got him to ask me if I want anything instead of just surprising me with breaded mushrooms etc that I won't eat most times. He's getting better about that. I just let him do his thing and I cook what I want to eat-sometimes I have to cook veggies on the side since he wont eat them but others I just tell him to pick it out.0
