For someone who hasn't done any of these videos (30shred, p90x, Ripped in 30, etc..) what would you guys suggest?! I hear such great things about all of these, but don't know which one would be the best value (Good price and great workout). BTW, those I named are just a few I've seen on these forums, so any other suggestions besides those will definitely be appreciated. Thanks!!

I have done the 30 day shred but love the Ripped in 30. Plus you get 4 workouts instead of 3 on the Shred. I would get the Ripped in 30.0

I have p90x and it will get you in to shape but its a program that you must follow. Its a 90 day program that takes all the guess workout of losing weight and getting into shape. I still use it from time to time to help tone up even more.0

I am in the process of doing the 30DS. I am at Level 2 Day 3. It has been a long process since I got sick at the beginning of April and haven't felt great since. I finally remeasured myself today, after 2 months (measrued before starting 30DS) and am down .5" in my inner thigh, as well as hips, and my biceps. I attribute this to 30DS!! Before using it, the numbers didn't budge one bit! I like Jillian Michael's too. I bought a few other cds of hers when i got this one. Amazon.com offers bundles sometimes.0

I LOVE the Shred! Me and a few of my family members do it and have lost alot of inches from it. I didnt notice a change until week 4 and I do the shred 3 days a week. I know it has helped tone me and make me lose inches! I would start out with level 1 for 2 weeks and then go up to level 2. I noticed a bigger change doing level 2. Im sure all the videos are great. Good Luck0

I like the ripped better than shred because I get sooo tired of doing the same thing for too long and with shred you do the same move for 9-10 days whereas with ripped you do the same video for only 5-6 days before moving on to the next on.
But really I am working my way up to insanity. I am doing 30 day ripped to get into a little better shape and then insanity is next!!!!!!!!0 -
I have the Shred and I'm not a huge fan. I don't know what exactly it is that I object to, but I'm pretty sure it's Jillian, because I don't like the Biggest Loser workouts I have where she's the trainer, either. I would suggest Turbo Jam. It's a great workout and it's really fun.0

today is my last day doing the 30 day shred...well it's day 30. i'm going to start over though because it's awesome... and only $100

I have only tried the 30 Day Shred, but do totally recommend this!0

Those programs depend on your level of fitness. P90X is more advanced and much harder, 60 minute workouts minimum, and lots of push-ups, weights, ...0

A lot of them can be tried by checking with your local library or video store. I currently have 30 Day Shred and a few Zumba DVD's ordered through my video store account. That way I can try them out before I commit to buying them. I've tried tons of DVD's this way! Some of the ones like P90X, Insanity and other Beachbody titles are not typically available through these avenues though so you may want to poll your friends and see if anyone has any of them that you can borrow. My sister bought Insanity and didn't realize until she tried it a few times that it was just too far beyond her current fitness level for her to do.0

I wouldnt lump Jillian Michaels dvd's in with a program like P90x! P90x is a whole different ball game! Way more intense with bigger results (because its 90 days of 1hour work outs vs. 30days of 20min workouts)
That being said, I have 30day shred, and P90X. 30dshred is a good place to start (i would really like to try ripped in 30)
With 30ds I only made it about 20 days before I couldnt take her anymore..lol but I lost a lot of inches!
I am hoping one day to work up to be able to want to dp P90x, but as for now it is too intense for me.
Also I should add P90x is about 15x more expensive. So I would start with one of Jillians and then once you complete it maybe move up!
HTH! good luck!0 -
I have the 3 you mention and really like Shred but love Ripped. P90X is good too. However both of JM are 30 minutes of intense exercise for 30 days and you get to change up weekly what you do so that helps me alot. P90x is close to 1 hour workouts but you do a different routine daily for the week and then repeat for 90 days. So depends on what you have time for and I think with P90x it helps to go with their diet plan, but i never followed it or completed the program. I have completed both of JM and lost some inches (clothes fit looser) and a couple of pounds.0

Thanks! I think I'm going to go with shred first then, and then move on up. Appreciate all the info!0
