I noticed when I started doing the C25K program that after the 25 minutes were up I was red (almost rash like) right on the top of my chest. I am not sure what from because I did not have any cloth on that part, I was wearing a workout tank. I was just curious if this has happened to any other ladies, and what tips you might have to stop that from happening. It is really annoying and it itches. Then once my HR goes down the redness and itchiness is gone.

It used to happen to me when I first started running.
I think it's just caused by your heartrate raising higher than it's normal comfort level.
It'll stop when you workout more.

Hey!! That used to happen to me as well!! Always make sure you drink plenty of water, because it'll help keep your blood pressure down a little!!! This could be the reason for the redness!! Have fun running!! I'm training for a 10k right now, and am soooo excited!! : )

That would be your skin and blood doing their job to keep you cool. I'm very fair and the slightest hint of warmth and it looks like I've got a sunburn from hell.

It could be the sweat and your pores, so if the sweat touches your pores, it may cause you to get a rash/itch/break out. This is what I think, but I don't know because I don't sweat easy, it's so hard for me to sweat, it can be 110 degrees and I still wont sweat, well I will but a touch of sweat. Maybe you should wear a spandex type of clothing under your cloth shirt.

i sweat like crazy and i started to redden in certain areas that wasn't used to the sweat and open pores. it was like my skin was trying to breathe and pushing out toxins and boom i was red. it has since gone away the more i work out.

This has never happened to me, but there is a gal I know at my gym who is FAR from overweight and it happens to her EVERY time she does any sort of cardio thing. It doesn't necessarily have to do with your size, everyone is different. Could be part of what is normal for you :)

Are WHOLE body has pores, and sweat can irate your skin, especially if you have sensitive skin & if that sweat goes into your pores.... Yeah that can cause you to break out/itch/get red/hives. This is just a opinion & I have a medical provider next to me (I work at a hospital) and she said it could be 'ONE' of the reason, but she's going by what you are saying your symptoms are. Also she said see your primary provider to get fact results if you fell uncomfortable or want more ???.

Sounds like a heat rash that kids get. Adults can get it too.

I dont have insurance or a PCP, but I am guessing its because my body (chest) is not used to that at all. But I will see if everything persists
