I'm 26. I live in AZ. I weigh 182 lbs. I've been bouncing from 182 to 180 for a few weeks now and I'm really working hard to get past that little plateau and reach my goal weight of 150 lbs. Right now what I've been doing is tracking my calories. I eat lots of vegetables. A lot of chicken. Brown rice. Whole wheat pasta, whole wheat bread. Low fat cheese, milk and yogurt. Fruits. Basically I believe I have a handle on my food. Or maybe not...since I'm plateauing. :) It could most definitely be my sugar addiction...specifically chocolate.... Any suggestions on foods that have worked for you would be greatly appreciated. :)

As for exercise...omg!! Just Sat I went to my first spin class and I am totally in love with this class!! Its so much fun. I love the music. I love that I can go all out when I can and when I need a break I can slow down a little. I love LOVE this class. I've gone 3 times this week so far and I'll probably go one or two more times this week. I love this class so much I'm thinking about becoming an instructor once I reach my goal weight.

I've been battling my weight since I was about 16 years old. I was a member of Weight Watchers last year and I lost and have maintained 15lbs. I quit going because it got to be more money than I could afford. But now for the first time ever in my life, I can actually feel and taste my success. I know I'm going to lose this weight. I feel it in my heart. And I'm willing to put in the work!

I hope to meet lots of new people here who can give me tips on what else I can do. And I hope to be somebody's support, that shoulder to lean on when feeling down, that boost of confidence when you're kicking butt and the one you can turn to for all your falls and triumphs in this crazy journey to our true selves. I wish you all luck! And feel free to message me about anything!! :)

I'm also in Arizona. "Hi!" ::waves::

Usually when one hits a plateau, the best thing you can do is change up your routine. The spin class sounds like it might be the perfect thing to help you do that. I can't see your diary, but it sounds like you are eating right. Make sure you're drinking lots of water and limiting your sodium intake, if you're not doing those things already. If you want an honest critique of what you're eating, you'll need to open your diary.

For your chocolate addiction, look at things that are really chocolatey tasting but not high in calories and fat. Sugar free chocolate pudding might be a good substitute or chocolate Chex you can munch on.

Feel free to friend me, if you'd like. I'm always looking for new friends here in the desert Southwest.

well good luck girl!! Spinning is a great way to loose weight!! I personally love to swim and bike ride :) Sugar is the hardest!! i have finally kicked the, have a dessert after dinner kick, yeah!! And have switched all I can to sugar free. Lots of people say it's back to have artificial sugar but I'd rather take my chances with that than heart disease !!! And that has been working for me.. I also eat low-fat and have really cut myself ff of cheese. In comparison to what I used to eat. Plus I have switched to fat free milk, for cooking and eating. I noticed when I started buying natural veggies and plain rice instead of sides and (crap) stuff, my grocery bill went down!! My man and I eat smaller portions and less sides!! So that helps!! I don't know if you cook a lot, but I have lots of healthy recipes for almost all foods!! Add me if you'd like!! Great luck again!!!
