I travel a bit and have trouble finding good food in the airport. I often do a good job packing food but time just did not permit this trip. I found a perfect snack at Starbucks. They have brocolli and califlower with fat free dressing. PERFECT!

If you have any ideas, please share.

The biggest thing is to try and check the calorie count BEFORE you eat something. And avoid "drinking" your calories (lattes, smoothies) since you probably won't be able to exercise as much. Try to go to restaurants that let you customize the meal (skip the cheese and creamy full-fat dressings or spreads). Eat half of your meal - maybe you have someone you can split with?

I always pack foods with me when traveling through the airports or in the car. Special K bars, trail mix (be careful with this one though!), nuts, or protein bars can be a life saver. I always keep a bag of almonds or cashews and a fiber bar in my carry on bag when I'm traveling. That way I don't get to the point where I give in to those boxed meals on the plane.
