I know this is probably the dumbest question ever but if your sodium intake is high (not crazy high but sometimes over 2500 mg) does drinking a ton of water kind of counteract the sodium and make it not really a big deal. I've never noticed how much I consume until I started here and we all know sodium is not a good thing. I've been upping my water intake lately (potty is now my BFF) so I am wondering if I am sort of reversing the affect of it.

Unless you have high blood pressure and/or your doctor expressely forbids a high sodium intake, i feel that most people are way to concerned about sodium intake. I'm not advocating 7-8k mg intake but I think going up to 4000 or so is not a problem especially if you are exercising vigorously, drinking a lot of water, and consuming foods high in potassium.
Of course, this has just been my experience and I'm sure that sodium may affect others differently.
Sodium may make you hold water, BUT IT WILL NOT KEEP YOU FROM LOSING WEIGHT!!0
