Compliments

I went to the gym today. A rarity being that I do an hour at the boot camp I work at, but wanted to start getting more workouts in. So I see this girl I haven't seen in a while and man she looked great. A little jealous-yes, but also yay for her-awesome!! So I have started approaching total strangers at the gym. I see them around and I usually tell them the class or whatever we have in common before just spurting things out. It is fun to get to know new people. Anyhow, I made a goal that when I see something good in a person, I say something. So I see her and I had to tell her. I said-hey I haven't been here for a while and I have seen you around and I just want to let you know, you look great! Her face said it all-she thanked me graciously. So what I am trying to say, don't keep your mouth shut. You know you would want to hear it, so if you see a need for a compliment somewhere, don't hold it in thinking they probably know, because the fact of the matter is-they probably don't. Have you made somebodies day today??

Very true! It seesm that everything negative that is ever thought about a person finds its way back to them, while the compliments rarely do. So go ahead and dole out those honest compliments! You and the recipient will feel better!
