Busy mother that wants to be fit

Hello,
I just sing in and I want some motivation to find time to exercise, my family have health eating habits, so I don't think I have a problem there. Also I try to have a low salt diet.
I did a 2 miles run this morning and it was OK. I want to lose some weight without have to pay for a gym membership so I think run is a great alternative. I am 40 years old, 5'2'' and weight 135.
I need to add some strength training. Do you have suggestions such as DVDs.
