Boris bikes in London

Hi

I live in London and I'm thinking of doing some cycling for a change. (I don't jog and I've walked everywhere within six miles of where I live.)

I don't want to buy a bike yet but was thinking of trying a few sessions on the Boris bikes. (if you don't know what Boris bikes are, you're not a Londoner.)

Has anyone tried the bikes? Are there any good routes on cycle paths/quiet streets starting around the Borough Market/Elephant & Castle area?

Does anyone fancy going for a bike ride in London with me?

    I think that is a great idea! I wonder if they tried that here in the States if the bikes would get stolen! Or abandoned because the people didn't want to bring them back - we are such a strange lot here in the USA! LOL!

    If you like the biking, then you could buy a bike of your own to take out on the trails or country roads to get a good workout. Wish I lived across the pond so i could join you!
