Hi guys, I need a bit help  . I've been going to the gym at least 2-3 times a week to do various classes. The problem is by the time I get home it's 8:30/9:00 so it's too late to eat something properly  . I've been having a whey protien shake to get some protien into my system quickly and having a prettty basic 2 (1 whole 1 white) egg omlette but I'm getting a bit bored with these now.

Any suggestions on quick and easy low calorie (maybe low GI too) recipies

You could always have a tbsp of peanut butter on a slice of wheat toast.

    What kind of workout?

Both the classes and gym sessions I do are a mixture of cardio and strength training.

1.5 hours before you lift. Have some meat and carbs. I love Smart Pop popcorn (minibags are good).
During workout, dextrose/maltodextrin and whey is great (gatorade powder is cheap dextrose).
After workout, go home and have some Low GI carbs and some protein.

Chicken breast cooked the night before is always a stand by. Deli meat (if you can find it fresh it's less sodium) isn't bad.

Cheers for the advice. I've been trying to eat a decent carb/protien late lunch so I'm just getting the benefits by the time I finish work.

I'll have to get some dextrose to add to my in gym drink :)
