If your anemic, I would call your Doctor and get there advice before you do anything0

get some blood tests and if anything comes up your doctor should put you on a 3 months course of vitamins that you would need0

My Dr. gave me an RX for an iron therapy, as I am very anemic. The pills were huge, so I had trouble taking them. She suggested SloFE 2x a day taken with OJ, as it helps iron absorption (calcium blocks the absorption of iron). SloFE is an over the counter iron supplement. I don't know if you have a Target, but their store brand is just as good and much cheaper. I'm assuming that you have already seen a Dr. or you wouldn't know you're anemic; anyhow, iron supplements are the #1 cause of at home child poisoning. BE VERY CAREFUL, if you have kids or animals in the house. The pills are very small and easy to swallow. You can also OD on iron and it is harmful if you take more than you need. So definitely consult your Dr.
