Hey Everyone!

I am very new to this program; I was introduced to it by a friend who has been really successful. In the past, I've been a WW junkie, but wanted to try something new - and FREE! :) I'm doing okay with it, however, I do find it a bit more challenging in that I am not used to "counting" my veggies or fruits.

I live in Indiana and I'm a newly empty nester! I decided that since she has left for college, it's time to put MYSELF back on the list! I've battled my weight my entire adult life. I have PCOS and just turned 40 - so I'm looking for my metabolism! LOL I would like to lose about 45 pounds. I've done it before but unfortunately, due to 2 surgeries in 2007, it has all crept back on. During the day, I work for a Cancer Center. While that can be a bit sad, I truly feel it's an honor to serve my patients everyday. In an effort to support them, I will be walking in an 18 mile walk in Sept. Another great reason to get into better shape! :)

I'm finding it can be difficult to put yourself on the list after being off for such a long time....but, because I know this is a journey, I am simply vowing to do my very best everyday to get in some exercise and to write log everything that hits my lips!

I would love to develop a support system on here. Thanks to all in advance for your wisdom and support :)

Blessings!

Welcome from another Midwesterner (Wisconsin) and parent who's one year away from being an empty-nester as well. I am addicted to MFP and love the supportive friends here!

Feel free to add me to your support crew!

    Best of luck! - Kenny
