Hi there everyone! I started out here about a month ago with just the iPhone app, then discovered the full site about a week ago and have been lurking ever since! I've tried similar apps in the past and MFP definitely is the most user-friendly and has the most comprehensive food database. I should be coming up on my 30th day straight logging in now and could certainly use a good strong support group of friends who are just as committed.

I just weaned my 14 month old and was finally given the thumbs up to restart my spironolactone (for hormonal breakouts) and adderall (for adhd), so it's a little scary how quickly the weight initially comes off... PLEASE know this is not normal, I am very self conscious / nervous about this weight loss being the good kind (fat). You'll notice in my signature that I track much more than what my scale says. I am also very interested in anthropological studies based on attraction, so my goals are based on reaching the ideal BMI (20.85) presented in some studies and as low a waist-to-hip ratio possible. I realize it may not be possible to attain both at the same weight, but I'm sure as heck going to try!
