Added Trail Mix =P

So I added "Amport Foods - Trail Mix" (basically it's an assortment of nuts and raisins) into my diet. I guess I was looking for something that would combat the hunger cravings during the day. ( I also LOVE trail mix... LOL =P ) I'm doing 1/4 cup in the morning and 1/4 cup in the afternoon. My main concern is that trail mix is loaded with Fat...and my goal is to have a six pack by August.
Here's an example of my daily food log...
Breakfast: Non Fat Yogurt, 1/4c trail mix, black coffee/splenda
Lunch: Lean Cuisine Meal or something equivalent
Snacks: 1/4c Trail mix or Apple. (Men's Daily Vitamin, Omega 3's)
Dinner: Lean Cuisine Meal and a Steamed Veggie.. Nonfat Yogurt.. Decaf Tea...
I'm in-taking anywhere between 1200 and 1700 calories a day. Feedback?

How do you feel about sugars coming from fruits? If you're okay upping your sugars, you can add more fruit and decrease the trail mix. That way you modify your fat intake without ditching a snack that you like.0

Those lean cuisine things may be low in fat and calories, but they'll play hell with your sodium levels. You should try cooking some fresh foods sometimes. MUCH better for you and much tastier too (imo). Plus, if you're a guy, you really shouldn't be netting less than 1500 a day unless you're under medical supervision. Other than that... it doesn't look too bad.0

So in your opinion it would be better to substitute the Trail Mix with a Fruit. Hmm, but if I take in little to no fat each day would that have any negative side effects?0 -
OMG i LOOOOVE trail mix! I eat one that has craisins and chocolate chips, it totally satisfies my sweet tooth and its only 140 calories per serving (1/4 cup)
sooo yummy0 -

Very true... I'm usually more around 1500 anyhow.
Yes, everyone seems to talk about those crazy sodium levels in frozen dinners... the only negative side effect is that it messes with how your body stores water right?0 -
LOL I force myself not to buy the trail mix with the Chocolate in it!!! Only to have a 1/4 cup would be torture.0

I wouldn't cut all of the trail mix, yes the nuts are high in fat, but it's the good fat and your body needs those. I love the trail mix and avoid the one containing chocolate as well. As far as the sodium, it's awful, especially for those with high blood pressure such as myself, but let's not forget that with exercise comes sweat and that should take care of some of that sodium intake. Hope this helps...happy shedding!0
