When is too much, too much?

Hi there MFP pals!

As far as tracking nutrients go, there are some obvious categories you don't want to go over in, such as calories, sugar, sodium, and carbs. My wife and I eat tons of fruit and veggies and high fiber cereal/snacks. Are there opinions or studies about pluses or minuses to going over in the fiber and vitamins?

Loving the community support on MFP - thanks to all my peeps!

Although fruit is good for you, it also has a LOT of sugar.(which are carbs) All though it is natural sugar, too much may stall your weight loss a bit. It does for me. I limit myself to only 1 piece of fruit a day, if that. Just my two cents.

Can't speak to the fiber but for vitamins, you'd have to work really hard to consume enough food to get too many vitamins.
For many vitamins (the water soluble ones), excess amounts are not absorbed but are flushed, which is why there's little nutritional value in taking vitamins for most people.
