Are the calories on the Freshi 15 for real - rejuvenate bowl

Thanks Fitnesspal, for a great resource. Question for anyone who might have a way to really test calories. I've been enjoying Freshi's 15 menu and particularly like the "Rejuvenate Bowl".

But I am wondering how they have arrived at the calorie estimate of 207 calories (on the website and menus) and whether, by faithfully buying those things every day and using the calorie value Freshi provides I have been vastly under-reporting my calories.

I thought something might be up when I separately ate just brown rice at home. When I entered that in fitness pal it said 2 cups was around 400 calories.

So how could the rejuvenate bowl, with what seems to be 2 cups of brown rice plus a bunch of veggies and some cheese, come out to just 207?

Next, I went on the freshi website and tried the "calculate your custom built meal" tool. When I entered the ingredients in the rejuvenate bowl, it came out to 439.57. That's more than TWICE as much as their menus say. What's the truth here? Has Freshii been tricking me into ruining my diet?

I would go with the custom built meal calculations. Rice is high in calories, there is no way you are eating anything with 2 cups of rice and it is only 207 calories. If so, I want to know where they get this magic rice from!

what does the serving size say?
Is it possible that the calorie count indicated on the menu is actually for 1/2 of the "rejuvenate bowl" and not the complete bowl?

I find that pre packaged/ takeaway foods are often correct on the nutritional values, but they state what they are per 100g (etc), as opposed to the actual serving size. So, for a pretend example, a rice salad may state 300 kcal, but that is per 100g. The actual serving may be 300g, so the actual calories is 900!

Brown rice definitely has high calories, so I'm afraid your calculations are likely to be correct!

FYI - I wrote to Freshii and here's the reply from their brand manager.... I had previously
noticed that I seemed to be getting the full dressing portion (and saw that the nutritional
values were based on half dressing, so I had been asking for 1/2 dressing). I do not know
if they have been doing the rice portion correctly or not.

Our Freshii 15 nutritional values are in fact correct--promise! The
Rejuvenate Bowl, when made correctly, and with no customization, should be
made with a fraction of our standard brown rice portion and half the
dressing. Do you think you were given a full portion? I have CCed our team
in [___] to confirm that their team is not missing this essential part of the
Freshii 15 training. Our nutritional values online are setup for a regular
Freshii bowl, this is why we write the nutritional values on the Freshii 15
menu. You may request more or less rice as well, we are happy to oblige,
just write it on your ticket.

I am still suspicious becausethere are two other rice bowls on this Freshii 15 menu
(one with salmon and one vegetarian) that both are listed as having over 400 calories so it doesn't make sense that
the one with chicken would be so much less calories.
