Need some new recipes...

I am finding that my meals are starting to get boring...I eat the same things a lot. Like for instance... we have hamburger.. what do we make? Our choices are spaghetti (so not filling and too high in calories for wanting to eat a couple hours later) or tacos.

I need some new ideas...preferably filling recipes.

Thanks in advance!

I'd recommend Weight Watchers cookbooks. Even my husband likes when I use their recipes. If you don't want to buy, try going to your library and borrow a weight watchers cookbook. Lots of good stuff in there! As for hamburger: there's always stuffed peppers, meatloaf, sheppards pie all of which can be made in a healthy fashion. I also really like allrecipes.com, you can always sub out ingriedients for more healthy fare.

Next time you log your food in, 'pretend' to log in a Hungry Girl recipe......type 'Hungry Girl' and just see what recipes come up! Yum!

Not healthy, but a doable recipe. Lots of sugar.

    Hawaiian "Meatballs"

Brown and drain 1/4 lb. of Hamburger. Set aside. (Just like for tacos or spaghetti)
Stir-fry Green and red peppers and red onions.
Add pineapple and warm, set juice aside in a cup. Set veggies aside with beef.

In the cup with pineapple juice mix:
    1/4 cup brown sugar
    1 tsp ketchup
1 tsp low sodium soy sauce
    1/3 cup vinegar
    1/4 tsp ginger
    1 tbsp cornstarch

Place in pan and heat over medium heat till it thickens. Combine all parts. Heat for 30 seconds. Done.

Split between two people it's about 356 calories.
  • I make burgers sometimes with lots of veggies, and sweet potatoe fries with NO bun =) Its actually quite yummy! You can make TACO SALAD instead of Tacos to mix it up..... I am drawing a blank! =)
