TOO MUCH FAT GRAMS!

Alright, so before I started the whole weight-loss-join-fitness-pal thing today I totally did something really stupid and had like a ton of butter that was chock full of fat... disgusting. So, I am in the negative. Well, I worked out and I was even and in the green. Then I ate something healthy but it apparently had fat too and I am back in the red. Can someone link me to an article on fat grams and how they work or explain them to me? How do you avoid them? How do you delete the fat grams?

    why are you trying to avoid fat? Fat is delicious! It's also one of three macronutrients necessary for every day function (along with carbs, and protein)

    I will now go back under my rock

    Hopefully someone will come along with more knowledge about fat grams than I do...
    But I just wanted to share my experience. (:
    I go over my fat A LOT. Probably 3-4 days a week.
    By about 15-20g. Not sure how much you're going over, buttt.
    If you're not going over your carbs by a whole lot, I wouldn't worry about it. It's kind of a balance thing for me.
    Of course, it's best to keep w/in your limit;
    but I wouldn't think of it as really, really horrible.
    Especially if they're "good fats."
    Which is definitely not butter (there are awesome alternatives)--
    Which someone else will probably explain much better than I ever could. LOL.
    Good luck on your weight loss !~
