 I'm so thrilled I just had to share! I've been doing great in maintenance for almost a year now....BUT I just can't seem to stay out of the red on sugar. Doesn't matter if I'm under on cals. or not. WELL..today I completed my food dairy and I didn't even use half of my sugar allowance!!!! HUGE NSV b/c I typically go over by alot (seriously).

I made a few big changes tho.. I didn't have the usual 4oz of OJ in the morning and I didn't eat any fruit all day : ( I love fruit! And I also love sweets. Any ideas how I can keep this positive change going without giving up my strawberries, apples, and oranges (oh yeah and a few sweets now and again)??

Stay away from OJ - that will help a lot. Limit your fruit to 2 servings a day and make those servings count - berries have TONS of anti-oxidants and don't have as much sugar as other fruits. Or have an apple - ONE APPLE! And if you want to keep up on the positive momentum stay AWAY from sweets.

When I'm in weight loss mode, I never go over 30 on my sugar and I include 2 servings of fruit AND a coffee with cream and sugar (it's the one thing I refuse to give up).

Juice is concentrated so it will have more sugar. Fresh juice is great.

I have blood sugar issues and I have a list of fruit I can not have because the sugar content is too high.

    Oranges
    Bananas
    Grapefruit
    Dates

    The good list has
    Apples
    Blueberries
    Strawberries

The list is quite a bit longer, but off the top of my head I do not remember them all. I cheat and have bananas, I LOVE them.

    Good luck!

Thanks Cat3nv! I know I really need to give up the orange juice.. I guess its like other people with coffee.
