Is it a problem to consistently go over on protein? They are almost all lean proteins, grilled chicken, tofu, greek yogurt, etc... But is the protein number just a goal to get at least? or is it more of a limit? thanks! Yesterday i was 30 grams over which is not uncommon.

It's more of a goal & it's great to be getting more protein!0

Nope lean proteins are good for you!!! MFP has low settings for Protein. You can change them up if you want too, just go to goals! My doctor said to incorporate a protein into every meal; including snacks!0

Yep, it's not a problem (the default protein % from MFP is quite low). Protein is also extremely thermogenic, meaning you burn more calories to digest it (up to about 30% of the total calories consumed), so going over on your protein isn't a bad thing.
If you go greatly over on your protein though, try to drink more water, as additional water is used to metabolize it.0 -
