I'm new to the area. I'm looking for some fun exercise to do outdoors any ideas?

join some kind of adult league...soccer, baseball, swimming, Tennis.... you can find the community center in your town and find things there0 -
just going out and playing like you did when you was a kid is good exercise. remember playing tag. kickball, jumprope, playing on the monkey bars, doing pull ups, swinging, hide and seek, volleyball, basketball, just because you are a grown up doesn't mean you have to stop having fun. get a group of friends to join you. have a baraque and instead of sitting around the table afterward play. other than being an adult and looking goofy there isn't too much reason why you couldn't challange the neighborhood kids to a game of softball for that matter. here a few websites i found that could help too. have a great day.
