I am hesitant to write about this since I am afraid I will jinx it, but I think I finally got over my plateau! I have been doing weights and cardio at least six days a week and gained weight for some reason and then hovered for a few weeks. But, I guess my body just needed a kick start again..I switched up my food, tried to balance out the weights and cardio more, and I have dropped about three pounds in the last three days.

I had found that when I hit a plateau and then zig-zagged my calories and actually gave my body 2 days to rest during the week - I got over the plateau. It took almost 2 weeks to figure it out - good luck - you are doing great!0

Congrats! ...I agree an unexpected extra rest day during the week and switching up the foods along with zigzagging calories may do the trick ...it actually helped me get the scale moving again.0

Plateaus are just not fair. But our bodies will try to hold onto weight with all its might. And it's also a matter of figuring out what works for your body, since what works for some won't work for others. I've been in a plateau for about a month, and it was getting discouraging, but then I measured myself this morning (I only do that about once a month), and I've lost two inches in my waist. So while that's great, I really still wanna see the scale move!0
